The running back coach, DeShaun Foster.
The position coach determines the player rotations. Only the qb is managed directly by the hc.
Remember all those times during 2020, 2021 and 2022 when it was 3rd or 4th down and Keegan Jones was given the ball and rarely picked up the 1st down? That's because DF had Jones in the game.
So who was the Ucla running back coach on that day?
Eric Bieniemy. Eric Bieniemy decided to play Tyler ebell and Maurice Jones Drew instead of Manny White.
Dorrell decided not to throw Bieniemy under the bus after the game. He took the blame upon himself. But white played in the next 7 games. Then he got hurt, and Ucla didn't win another game the rest of the year.
