But last weekend I saw highlights of Patrick Mahomes throwing a behind-the-back completion to Travis Kelce in a pre-season game, and noticed Steele was in the backfield or h-back during the play. I have no idea if there are injuries or KC running backs being held back in pre-season, but I thought it was promising for Steele to be running with KC's first unit.
