Do your research. Ucla was getting $7.5 million per year when no one was close. Ucla turned down roughly $17.75 million per year with Adidas when an extension was in play. UA did everything to get in to be the biggest deal. Also, regardless of who the apparel sponsor is, do you think there is an expectation of results in the field and visibility on TV? That's why coaches make a lot of money.
I know this is VERY hard for you to comprehend, but they entered into a CONTRACT. Much like Chip Kelly was under a CONTRACT with Ucla.
Here's your homework assignment. See if you can figure out what the purpose of a CONTRACT is.
