Yes, it happens at Stanford all the time. It happens at ND as well. The reason it doesn’t happen at ucla is because we very rarely turn any kid down. It’s happened twice that I can recall (as i mentioned above) and maybe one other kid people speculated about who wound up at Washington.
Football players at Hawaii, Wyoming and N Texas don’t project to be superior students than high school kids. Why? Because football players at these type of schools are pushed thru, just as they are at almost every school. It’s just the nature of the beast nowadays.
You are just giving UCLA an excuse that some view is a flex. But it’s based on nothing other than puffed out chests by the people who propagate it.
