He destroyed UCLA west coast recruiting and ended up having to hire an AAU coach as an assistant to bring in hs players. He presided over a terrible culture that was exposed in an embarrassing Sports Illustrated article. By the end of his tenure he was really strugling to recruit. Both his offensive and defensive schemes were very similar to what Cronin runs.
