He was my favorite Laker, even more than Jerry West.

And I also remember that the Lakers went on a 33-game win streak as soon as Jim McMillan replaced Baylor in the starting lineup. IIRC, Elgin retired soon after that, and the Lakers went on to win the NBA Championship without him.
