There clearly remains a need at the 5. The least intrusive transfer available at that position, IMO, would be KC Ibekwe out of Pacific. He averaged 4 and 2 in about 10mpg. He's 6'11" and 280. He moves kind of slowly but would be a down low presence.

He probably wouldn't be used too much by Cronin because I don't believe he can effectively defend outside, but he could help on the boards and with rim protection in some rare occasions. He probably wouldn't demand too much money but then again Cronin may still have to additionally fund raise even to get him - although we don't know if that's the case.

He could be of some limited help down low, but then one would have to ask if any of this is worth it. The bottom line for me is that the Bruins still need some help at the 5 and Ibekwe's heft and length could help down low. And this kid could provide that without ruffling too many feathers if that is indeed an issue. If I were to guess, Cronin has recruited kids who foremost want to win and anything in that direction would be welcomed. Also, I think he goes after kids who want to earn their spots and welcome any challenges - the more the better and the better the better. Just my opinion.
