First, let me say that this isn't high-level basketball. I have seen it compared to AAU ball. It's a bunch of young players, who may not have played together all that much.
NK doesn't leap out at you as a future lottery pick. He does a lot of things well, but he doesn't dominate.
His stats were fine. He led the team in scoring with 17 points in 24 minutes on 6 for 16 shooting. Although his stroke looks nice, he was only 1 for 5 on threes. He was 4 of 6 from the free throw line.
He is very active on the boards and led the team with 11 rebounds in those 24 minutes.
Overall, I liked his activity on the boards and on defense. He seemed to do a good job of watching his man and the ball.
On offense, he is most effective driving to the hoop and either finishing or getting fouled.
Based on this one game, I agree with the consensus, that NK will be a welcome addition to the team, but that he will not be an instant impact player. I honestly don't see a player who will be jumping to the NBA in two seasons.
It's just one game and he is young, so we will see.
