and the Adams injury crushed the team that year. Just as Cronin has been crushed by injuries too. Can also say that Lavin was crushed by injuries in '97 when McCoy went out in the elite 8 game with UCLA up 10 in the second half and Minnesota cruised the rest of the way. Esp. since we swept eventual champ Arizona that year.
I'm not putting it all on Cronin, like I said, the landscape has completely changed, but he doesn't get the same caliber of players we've had for decades.
