Totally agree with you!
I say every year that UCLA Basketball should be on par with Duke, Connecticut, Michigan, etc. Seeing half empty Pauley Pavilion is very sad. I remember when students had to camp out just to get into the games (like Duke now).

Not too surprising when you consider who we've lost to:
-Humiliating 90-44 loss in Salt Lake City to Utah
-Shocking 73-58 non-conference defeat by Liberty at Pauley Pavilion
-Lost 84-81 in overtime to Monmouth in 2015
-Lost 74-72 in regulation to Belmont in 2018
-Have lost twice to Cal St. Fullerton since 1997
-Lost to Cal State Long Beach in 2009-2010 season 79-68
-Have lost twice to Cal St. Northridge (most recent 76-72 in 2023-2024)

How things have changed.

Same thing in Football for the younger crowd who probably think Terry Donahue was some average HC;
-Winningest head football coach in UCLA and Pac-12 history, compiling a 151-74-8 record from 1976 to 1995. He uniquely won the Rose Bowl as a player, assistant coach, and head coach, and claimed five Pac-10 titles with a record of seven consecutive bowl game victories.
-Took over as head coach at just 31 years old and spent 20 years at the helm. He set the program and conference records for the most wins (151) and most Pac-10 wins (98)
-8-4-1 bowl record
-was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2000. Produced 34 first-team All-Americans and 14 first-round NFL draft picks

Hopefully HC BC can right that ship!!
