Of the players in the portal, I'd love for us to go after Akot from Okie State. I was beyond impressed with her. She was a 6'1" guard being forced to play center. She would be a great compliment in the front court to Sienna and Timea if she's able to come back.
Wooten from Ok State can fill it up, and create her shot, too.
It's weird that Ok State is losing 4 players. Their coach talks a lot about how being on the team means "Sisterhood." And, in the postgame she was talking about trying to keep her team together, kind of making a moral judgement about portal recipients. But, she's got transfer-ins on her roster. I kind of feel bad for her. It's got to be very hard coaching a feeder school and trying to be competitive year-in, year-out.
A bunch of ISU players are leaving. So, maybe Crooks is available, too. I don't think Crooks and Sienna could really coexist on the same team. But, she may be available.
And, Iowa fans were suuuuuper high on Deal. She was the 23rd ranked player in her class last year and is from CA. Maybe we've got a chance?
