Other than Brayden Burries, the best player to come out of SoCal this decade, Arizona's has recruited very few highly rated players from SoCal in recent years. UCLA has recruited many more of the top local players.
Of the top rated SoCal players this decade, Arizona got Carter Bryant, who played one season and averaged 6 points a game and Christian Koloko, who I don't think we offered. You could also count Kylan Boswell, although he played his last year of HS in Arizona.
In the same time frame, UCLA had gotten Trent Perry, Eric Freeny, Devin Williams, Amari Bailey, Peyton Watson, Jaylen Clark and Jaime Jaquez.
Unfortunately, Arizona doesn't need SoCal players to be successful anyway.
