Perry was just a sophomore - he improved significantly over the season and he will improve more for next season. BUT we had three front level guards this season, not one or two. With Eric Freeny as backup and for defense.

Three.

Also, if you watch the UConn game, Trent got beaten significantly by quicker opponents, especially on switches. He's a combo guard; he's a shooting guard, a wing; he's really not a primary PG for an elite team, especially not on defense. And he's such a good shooter, he's terrific playing off the ball.

And I think you can say that about Skyy Clark, also. He is quicker, but you get him focusing on taking care of the ball, running the offense, feeding his teammates and he's not spending his time finding open spots from which to to launch those good look three pointers.

IMO we need a true PG, one quick enough to master and take care of the ball and especially to be the head of the snake on defense, taking on and handling the oppenents' PG at all levels. And that's if we have Skyy as well as Trent and Eric. We also need a wing who is athletic and can also shoot the ball is ideal - or we need one who can do each.

IMO especially with Bllodeau gone, Booker and Dailey pretty much are both PFs, both guys who can score the ball. Dailey is our primary rebounder as we are and Booker can certainly improve in that regard. But we need a real center. Someone who can protect the rim and rebound and it would be nice if he can score a little too.

But we must improve our defense and that requires guys who are really good at playing defense including a Center, a Wing (or two) and a quick, good ball handling PG - to go along WITH Perry, Clark and Freeny.
