Back in the Ben Howland era, there was an expression that well described the role I could see Booker fill for us next season: "Stretch 4." I think that's what most of the comments here have alluded to without using that term. I actually think Booker could be very effective in that role, especially considering he's already proficient at the mid-to-long-range shots, he's athletic, and pretty quick. Of course he'd still have to get into the grind inside, as any good 4 has to, but as has been discussed here, that could be the focus of his player development efforts over the next several months.
Let's bring in a big, energetic, skilled 5, and let Booker play what is pretty clearly his natural position: Stretch 4.
