I thought he was a good hire at Washington, and he has brought in a lot of good talent. However, all that talent makes his lack of success look a lot worse.
Last season the Huskies finished dead last in the Big Ten. They are currently 13th, which is an improvement, but I doubt is making fans in Seattle happy. (They are happy about something these days.)
They have had a ton of injuries, and they played a brutal schedule, but just losing to Penn State is terrible.
After the season, his buyout is $4 million. In today's world, that sounds pretty low.
In contrast Rutgers' Steve Pikiell's buyout would be over $20 million. BTW, aince joining the Big Ten, Rutgers has accumulated more than $500 million in athletic department losses. YIKES!
