In this presser he's asked about Mara and whether he has seen improvement. IMO it was a cheap question but one that I believe needed to be asked. Cronin was diplomatic with his answer, but trying to read between the lines I think I detected perhaps a bit of resentment and also maybe that he thought Mara hadn't improved significantly. Carrying that thought to its logical conclusion he may think that Mara made a mistake by transferring to Michigan where he hasn't improved significantly. That's a lot of baseless speculation but I still find it interesting. From experience I know that the basketball world is about relationships, relationships full of all kinds of things from respect and loyalty to envy and resentment. Saturday's game will be interesting on many levels. This little bit of history, IMO, will be one of those interesting aspects even if it's just a little bit of insignificance.
