Thing is, it takes both sides of the court to win a game - you have to score more than your opponent, of course, but that means also that your opponent has to score fewer points than you do. Once Cronin put us into that matchup zone we started holding them down - before that, the tall German kid was coming unmarked down the key for lay ins. We had to have someone on defense in the paint and Williams is a tough kid who is a fighter and will do whatever his HC points him at. Having Williams in there enabled Cronin to continue to get Bilodeau in on offense and that was a key to the game.

Williams did nothing on the offensive end except allow us to keep Dub from fouling Bilodeau out of the game so we had him on offense.

It worked out - against Washington.

Problem with this team is I keep envisioning how this or that might work against Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois. Likely doesn't work quite the same as it did against Washington - on our home court
