than Cousy. And Magic was 6'9 and Cousy a little over 6'. Cousy was a great passer and had a tremendously high BB IQ---great court vision and creativeness on the court. He also had longer than normal arms for his size and large hands. But he wasn't super athletic and didn't have a jump shot. In a military basketball clinic in Germany in the mid 50s where I worked with him as a member of the clinic team, I asked him why he didn't shoot a jump shot. He said because he didn't have good hops and had trouble stopping and keeping his balance. He preferred the running one hander or one handed set shot. One other thing about Cousy. He was a chain smoker and I never understood how he could do that and still play as he did. But it hasn't seemed to affect him. He's 5 years older than me at 97 and still alive. But like you, I was a huge fan of Magic and I'll thrown in another favorite, Larry Bird.
