1. Rutgers came out in a zone to start the 2nd half.
Ucla ran a very simple action that generated a wide open mid range jumper, which trent pretty effortlessly drilled
It was a 2-3 zone. Bilodeau came up the right side to set a back screen on the right front defender. Perry simply dribbled to the right, used the simple screen, which worked perfectly, then pulled up and stepped into a wide open j that hit nothing but net. Very smooth!
I've always wanted to see more screening against a zone d. Zone defenders just aren't prepared to switch the way man defenders are
2. Booker had the ball on the low right block, and hasn't used his dribble. That threat kept his man close... and then daily cut down the middle right of the lane... Booker shoveled him a soft pass... and Dailey then jammed it home. So great to see Ucla move without the ball! AND get rewarded for it!
