I agree.. with 1.5 sec left, it's hard to pass and shoot jumper.

And even if they make a miracle jumper, kudos to them. But I would rather make it harder for them by forcing them to shoot a miracle jumper than giving up a wide open lane for easy layup with 1.5 sec left.

Regardless, if Mick Cronin practiced guarding the interior in that situation, you just do what the coach says. And if Mick Cronin really ran the same drill many, many times before the game as he said, it's on the player who didn't execute.
