We're 27th in the nation in 3-point shooting and 4th in the Big-10 in conference games (and our best three point shooter is injured). Recruiting more players who can hit the three pointer more consistently isn't the problem.

We're 22nd in the nation in 3-point percentage defense and are FIRST in the Big-10 in conference games. Indiana made 32.4% of their threes, we made 31.8%. Other than one player, Indiana shot 5-19 threes. Other teams do not hit the three pointer more consistently than us.

If he recruits better defensive players who may not be as good on offense, it's a zero sum-game.

Recruiting now is a function of NIL. Other schools have more than us. That's why we have little depth.

You're entire premise is based on one game and not very accurate. Stick to baseball. You might know more about that sport.
