A 6-point lead at the half against a sharpshooting team?
I'll take it!
UCLA's D stepped up in holding Indy to 30 pts on only 37% shooting. All the more impressive in that the UCLA D covered a lot of mileage in that so much of Ind's O is kickstarted beyond the arc in their motion offense.
UCLA is shooting 43% and it's nicely diversified with the exception of Book, whom I have ltd confidence in on both ends of the court. Ind is doubling Bilo and have held him to only 4 FGAs, but he's doing the job on the boards with a game-high 7.
Dent, Perry and our Garbage Man have picked up the scoring, all with more pts than Bilo's 6. I look to CMC to try to flip that script by feeding Bilo with more set plays, particularly shifting him further out towards the arc.
No one in much foul trouble (bench guy Miles for Indy with 3 and Jamerson with *****only*** 2 in about "2" mins.
20 mins to go and I expect a tight end as it will be a challenge for UCLA's D to hold down IND's sharpshooters at close to their 37% in the 1H.
GO BRUINS!
