how tired they are of hearing something. Cronin is fighting for his team, just like every other coach is doing when they are working the refs. He's looking at coming seasons and how the scheduling committees are going to schedule the Bruins in the future, looking for any advantage he can get. Just like working the refs during a game. They know that they aren't going to get the ref to change a call after the fact. They're trying to get the refs to perhaps look at things a little differently moving forward.
These guys probably know this but they have a show to do and promote and being "incredulous" and "salty" in their language is entertaining and promotes clicks. Also, I detect a bit of a chauvinistic and provincial attitudes with UCLA being the loud interlopers. Oregon is okay because they keep their mouths shut. IMO Cronin is bringing up a valid point. and bringing it up in a press conference just after beating the #4 team in the nation is smart. He's going to be getting his biggest audience after a game like that. These guys probably know this as well. They just don't like what he's saying and they don't like that it's coming from UCLA. Under all that posturing I hear an attitude that UCLA and Cronin aren't really Big Ten worthy. These guys aren't to be taken seriously IMO. Just more irrelevant noise coming from the peanut gallery.
