because of the refs. I usually don't say anything about the refs, but yesterday was really bad. There where times out there that it felt like 5 against 8. There were periods of phantom calls where UCLA was called for nothing other than the refs anticipating a foul where there was no foul. And throughout the game the refs were inconsistent calling UCLA for fouls that Oregon was allowing to get away with. Those inconsistencies were too numerous to even bother mentioning any in particular.
UCLA is clearly on an upswing as they appear to be starting to get it. We'll see if that continues. We are getting a glimpse of what this team could be but there's still a ways to go - individually and team-wise. Things are looking up if they can continue to improve which is not a given. Still lots of work to be done, but things are definitely looking better right now. Keep going!
