Next year looks right now like a huge gamble. Not only is he gambling on Dailey being able to re-invent himself, but he's also betting on Booker's ability to re-establish himself while also re-inventing himself.
The backcourt is going to be small and the bigger guards are still an unknown quantity of sorts. The post position could be a total bust with Booker unrealized and Jamerson untested at this level . The three guys he's earmarked for the 4 are all slow afoot.
We'll see how this evolves, but next year IMO is a huge gamble. Part of me wished that Cronin had thrown the dice with Mara, but I have the sense, based on nothing other than conjecture from a very distant vantage point, that Cronin really didn't know how to incorporate Mara into his schemes and philosophies.
Well, Cronin has made his bed. Now he has to figure out how to sleep in it. It could work or it can all go south.
