that you could watch players come in as freshmen and develop into top notch players in a few years and watch the team progress as a result. Can't do that anymore. Takes a lot of fun away from the fans as the "team growth" process just doesn't exist anymore.

It's pretty much a new team of older guys every year and whoever has the most money can get the best players. I know there is some work going on behind the scenes to set up some standards and rules. But if they are waiting on the NCAA to take charge and make the changes, it may take years for a group that moves at a snails pace for anything workable to be put in place. And when/if it happens, then comes the lawsuits by the players and their agents.

I believe, regardless of what eventually happens, we have witnessed the end of college basketball as it existed in the past.
