I would say in terms of athleticism, the guys Cronin has brought in the last two years are somewhat disappointing. I agree about Kyle, but like you said he was limited in his abilities. Each year the Bruins improve athletically but still leave a lot to be desired when compared to teams like what we saw in the final four.
Cronin does have the ability to take his teams and make them competitive. He gets a lot out of his guys for the most part. But until he gets more athletic along with making better basketball players I think he is going lag behind the elite teams among the second tier teams that generally run in the polls from the top eight or so down to around numbers 25 to 30.
This next team so far seems to be destined for that kind of ratings. Dent appears to be a top tier player and all the other are either solid complementary players to various levels of skill, role players, or works in progress with some upside if they develop.
I believe Cronin will try to bring in at least two more players. Maybe as many as four Let's see who he can get. There's still some good athletic players out there.
