JEA averages 16 minutes, 5 boards, and .6 steals per game.
Against us she played 23 minutes, 8 boards, and 4 steals, and four fouls. The rebounds probably track w/ her rebounds per minute. But, she had 4 steals, in 20 minutes. That says a lot. And, she had 4 fouls. Betts only had 4 FT's (4-4), so unless JEA was the only one fouling her, most of JEA's fouls were prior to a shot, forcing us to inbounds and re-set against their tuff defense.
Today? She got her four fouls. Only lasted 12 minutes. 2 rebs, no steals.
We turned JEA into an All-American defender. I will posit again that it was because we were so predictable.
Aside: Strong had a monnnnnnster game today. 24 Pts., 15 Rebs, 5 A, 2 Stl, 3 Blk, 2 TO. Awesome player.
UConn loses Bueckers. Chen and Fudd are listed as Seniors. Wonder if they have another year?
