Right now the Bruins have 10 on their roster - 4 guards, 2 posts, and 4 forwards. I've read that Cronin wants to bring in a wing. I've read that Tyrone Riley 6'7" out of USF is big time on UCLA's radar. Is the 6'7" Luis out of St.John's a realistic pursuit or even a good fit? Everything I've read has indicated that Riley could be a good fit. Is that a done deal or what?
I've also read that Cronin might want another post player. Is Bidunga 6'9" out of Kansas even a possibility? Can the Bruins afford him? He would be an excellent get and an excellent fit. He looks right out of the bona mold. I would assume that if Cronin could have gotten Bidunga he wouldn't have signed Xavier Booker, but who knows. Anyway, adding Bidunga would give Cronin excellent dept at the 5.
Is their room for another guard? If so Wesley Yates 6'4" out of USC would be an excellent addition. From what I've seen he could also fill in at a small wing slot. I know filing out a roster these days is a matter of money available and as always can be an issue of playing time. If Cronin can bring in 3 more guys is there enough money and enough minutes to keep everyone happy and maintain Cronin's credibility with players and future portal transfers?
I do know on some ideal level that if Cronin brought in Bidunga, Luis or Riley, and Yates he would have a loaded roster that, at least on paper, would be an embarrassment of riches. I wonder what's the reality here. I do think Cronin isn't through yet. What additions to the roster can we expect?
