When players can simply walk away for a higher offer the relationship between the college and it's athletic programs become purely mercenary and subsequently meaningless. What used to be called "cheating" has now been formally adopted as the baseline. I would rather follow an "amateur" college league than a full on professional team that only represents the buying power of the alumni.
