Tampering? Who’s enforcing that? It happens in the pros, where there’s a commissioner and real consequences. In the NCAA? They haven’t won a court case yet—half the time, universities are fighting the organization itself. It’s a complete mess.
Back in grade school, we played a game called Big Bank Takes Little Bank. You and a friend emptied your pockets, and whoever had the most money kept it all. That’s basically where college sports are today.
The one thing I’ll give Cronin credit for—everyone agrees he’s done a great job stacking the coffers.
