The kid was hurt during the summer. Then he had respiratory problems and couldn't catch his wind. He often asked to be taken out the game, and even Bolch noted that he was gassed during the tourney.
He was given many opportunities to take over the position, but he simply did not. It took him over a year to listen to Cronin and start lifting weights in earnest.
I sad to see the kid go, I was looking forward to seeing him next year, but he was treated more than fairly by CMC. The fact remains that his stamina prevented him playing a bigger role.
