This makes the fact that sc got screwed by the seeders even worse. No way sc was the fourth best team in the tourney. They were clearly better than Texas. And, there is no way UConn isn't the best #2 in the tourney.
My guess is that sc handles K-State with ease.
I was so wrong about Iriafen earlier this season. I'm just starting to follow women's bb. All I saw of her was a few of her games, inclusive of their games against us. She looked like a good rebounding big that couldn't defend the post, had a nice midrange game, and not much post up game. I was wrong. On the broadcast last night, they said that it has taken her a while to find her footing, switching from Stanford's everything goes through Kiki (like we do w/ Betts, I guess) to sc's Watkin's dominant, everyone else is fighting for scraps offense. Maybe I was fooled by that. Most likely, I just missed again.
Anyway, if UConn didn't have Fudd back, I'd give sc a fighting chance against them, even w/o Watkins. But, w/ Fudd they just have too many options.
