Please explain why the $$ that Hurley would require is out of UCLA’s league? UConn is not in a conference for football. They make a pittance from the BE for hoops.
Icla shoikd be flush with $$ on a going forward basis. We more than doubled our revenue (yes expenses increased too, but not evem close to 2x) by joining the 10. Los Angeles is the definition of a market where you have to spend $$ to make $$. Put a great product that wins on the court and UCLA (or LA) fans will pour $$ into the program. It’s not that long ago that suc football was a cash machine under PC. Hoops will never equal football, but if UCLA was UConn, Pauley would be packed with stars, the LA times would be reporting and Jarmond would be printing $$.
Yeaxh, Hurley isn’t coming to UCLA, but that does t mean we do have the $$.
