Cronin complains that his players are soft and his power forward playing center gets dunked on. Cronin's prototype center is 6'8" to 6'9". He hasn't brought in a legitimate center since he has been at UCLA. This year he brought in six guards and wings, two power forwards, no true centers. His solution is to move the power forwards to center. His teams get outrebounded and dunked on, not because the players are soft, but because there is no true center. There has never been a tough true center. Whose fault is that ? Cronin's concept of basketball is that it is played by guards and wings and power forwards at center. He is full of himself and set in his ways. No hope.
