Not as large as it was last year when Louisville and Ohio St were kicking the tires, but it's still prohibitive and the way this season is going, I doubt anyone else would pay the buyout to hire him away.
Last night was an aberration, and had a lot in common with the Utah blowout last year, except we had that one hot stretch which got us the lead, other than that run, we lost the game by 40.
So, ultimately, we're left with hoping this year's team bounces back - last year's team did play it's best ball after that blowout.
But, ultimately, CMC is a great defensive coach (tho we've long given up a lot of open looks from 3 and Utah/Michigan really hit them, unlike most opponents), and a below average (IMHO, I'm being generous here - I can barely even watch our offense most of the time lately) offensive coach.
I'd love to see us hire an Offensive Coordinator, but we do know CMC wouldn't ever give up control.
