It's not just that Betts is a great post player, it's that when we get the ball in the paint, the defense collapses on her and even if she doesn't get the bucket or assist, it creates open looks for the rest of the team.
Heck, even in the huddle on Saturday, you could hear Coach Close making a massive emphasis on getting the ball into the paint, not necessarily just to Betts.
Watching Cronin's offense, he could do a lot better if he did the same (demand early paint touches in every possession) - the Men have so many possessions where the ball either never touches the paint, or doesn't get there until there is almost no time left on the shot clock.
