I think your overall point might have merit. He may not be a good fit in this system. But if he and Bona can't fit into what Cronin wants to do, we're in trouble. Not many centers are more athletic than Bona, and not many 7'3 "guys are as agile as Mara.
With regard to the offense or strike 1, I just think Aday needs more reps. Not that he's going to be a pick-and-pop guy, but he can certainly dive and get a lob. He's done that a number of times. Cronin is trying to get a number of other actions out of those high picks. It's up to our guards to take advantage of some of those actions. That's not on Mara.
