Elite D, in which UCLA is thankfully dictating pace, with a highly suspect O in which CMC needs to devote a good portion of his halftime chalk talk to the plain jane vanilla O he's throwing on the court..............so help me 24 points! 24!
Rebounding is not UCLA's forte. They're trailing 19-17 and my biggest fear is that we lose that game-within-a-game even worse in the 2H, losing critical rebound inches without Dailey & Kyle. Here's a thought...............there's been a lot of eyes (and commentary) on Berke and "Mata" --->>> two players who IMO don't warrant all that attention in what they bring to the game.
Part of the obvious problem on O is we don't have a true orchestrator at the point. If you're not worried about Dylan 'Shook" Andrews, you really ought to be. He's 3rd in FGAs and he's missed every one. How about assists?.....all of 1 against 2 TOs.
I saw one......just ONE creative play run on O (to break up the monotony of CMC's isos and perimeter weaves......a back pick freeing up Skyy in the low blocks. Hopefully, Mick will be smiling in 20 mins, but it should be a sober smile and a look inward. Hopefully, Dailey makes a guest shot in the 2H as we badly need an O injection. And, yes, our D has been great with no player on either team in foul trouble.
