I don't know what our ceiling is. It's better to have more good players than fewer, but at this point Clark has come along so well that I think Andrews is expendable. He played something like 17 minutes vs. Gonzaga. Clark, Johnson, Mack is a solid rotation at guard. And, Andrews can come in for spot minutes in a "give a guy a breather and don't mess things up" role. At this point, if he could get back to taking and making the middies, that would be a big plus.
And, Perry's highs are higher than DA's. The question w/ Perry is can he come in and play more or less mistake-free ball. I'd shift Andrews' minutes to Perry to the extent that's possible. Said it before, but I'm hoping that by March, Perry can give us some semblance of an Amari Bailey lift on the offense.
To me, the way forward for raising the roofbeams is improvement from Perry and Clark plus (oversimplifying) Mara on D, and Kyle on O. Mara still can't play with his back to the basket. His being able to contribute that way seems like a distant smoke on the horizon. If we could get Mara layups and oops, it would be different. But, that doesn't seem to be in the plans.
