I am not sure what to make of this. In recent games our 3-point shooting has gone from mediocre to very good. That is VERY welcome news. After only shooting 33% last season and starting this season even worse, we seem to have found our outside shot.

All of this has been against the toughest part of our early schedule.

Meanwhile our two-point shooting has gotten worse. That might be because we are playing bigger teams that are more capable of defending inside.

2-pointers 3-Pointers
First 7 games 56% 32%
Last 6 games 48% 43%

Overall 53% 37%

Here are our three-point shooting numbers for the last 6 games:

Washington 38%
Oregon 52%
Arizona 19%
Prarie View 48%
North Carolina 50%
Gonzaga 50%

Those are damned good numbers, and on the season, we are the 4th best three-point shooting team in the Big 10 and #56 in the country. However, I would still like to see us get a more consistent inside game and more easy looks.

Here are our best three-point shooters:

Eric Daily 48%
Trent Perry 44%
Lazar Stefanovic 43%
Tyler Bilodeau 42%
Skyy Clark 36%
Dylan Andrews 35%
Kobe Johnson 32%
Sebastian Mack 32%

All those hours Eric Daily spends on shooting practice seem to pay off.

Having 4 guys over 40% is really good. Last season only Jan Vide was over 40% and he only took 3 of them all season.

Also, none of our main rotation players are terrible. Our opponents need to defend everyone on the three point line except for Mara and Kyle. That should open up the middle for us. So far it hasn't.
