not that we played nearly perfectly, but we beat the Zags and got quality minutes to 3 of our players that are on the steepest learning curve. Mara and Perry both got their 1st half seasoning, w/ Mara making a cameo in the 2nd half. These are great minutes for them to be getting, building them up into being March ready.
I'm hoping that Perry is in the kind of trajectory that Bailey was last season. Won't be the same, because Bailey was forcefed minutes, and Perry seems slightly more raw. But, I hope, and I think there's a possibility that Perry can grow a) an offenseive force that b)doesn't disrupt the flow of our team when he's on the court.
Mara, affected the game positively on D, in a way that looked like a step forward. On O, imo, he should never receive the ball back to basket in a game that is close. Let him work on that when the game is largely decided. I feel like in close games he should go for put backs, and his offensive placement should be on the block, at the edge of the key. Maybe we can feed him for a lay up or oop.
And, Clark is a guy that looks like he's got a lot of room between where he is and his ceiling. Today looked like a big step forward for him.
