Could have been the background but he just didn't look comfortable and was leaning a little more forward on his release than normal---from the tv angle I saw. I still go down to the local Jr college gym occasionally and shoot fts just to see if I still have the touch (at 91). Surprisingly, I still do but I have lost any hops I ever had. No one in the gym that I shoot around with believes I'm in my 90s though.
