Based on the very limited time I've seen him on the court, I've concluded he has lost confidence in his shooting and hasn't had enough playing time to gain it back. A player can shoot great in practice but that is completely different than in a live game with all of the pressures on a player to perform. Unfortunately for him, without a reasonable amount of playing time (on a consistent basis), I believe he is going to have an extremely difficult time building up that confidence level enough be a consistently good "live action" shooter.
Lack of playing time is a killer when a player is trying to get that confidence back and prove himself to his teammates and his coach. And that's especially true when coming to a new team and trying to fit in and adjust to a group of entirely new teammates and a new coach's style and system.
I had great hopes for him as I saw what he could do last year when he was getting a lot of playing time and was relaxed and 100% confident in his live action shooting. I'm hoping he somehow gets back to that point he was at last year as the Bruins are going to need another good shooter from beyond the arc in the tough BIG conference.
