get used to that - he has always pulled a guy for screwing up, especially on defense. With a lead late in the game, defense was the clear focus and most important element and that's just what he's going to do Especially early in a season. He's teaching habits and focus at this point.
Maybe he doesn't do that come March. But this is not even mid-December. And, if the young man (perhaps my favorite player on this team!) isn't going to focus on defense, in Cronin's view, leaving him in hurts the team more than substituting for him, especially when you have a team deep enough to put in someone less likely to commit that sort of blunder.

For us, that's how Cronin coaches. He believes it will help his team in the long run. It is what it is.
