so coz last year was so painful, I started rereading books on the 1995 season to numb the pain. Which led to reading books on earlier seasons at UCLA.
I read Coach Wooden's "They call me coach," for the very first time. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Anyhoo, I'm reading another book on the Wooden Years (the list of UCLA basketball books on BZ needs to be updated, seriously), and there is this hilarious anecdote around this school official who caused (allegedly?) the Pac-8 to ban anybody who wasn't a player, coach, or trainer from the bench during games.
Just curious but how many of you know this story? It is hilarious as heck. Seems to me it should be a legend of a story in UCLA men's basketball history.
