With all of the talent/depth he has this year, he said there is no "second team". The potential of having their 5 on 5 practices being conducted with 10 players who are capable of starting will make the practices extremely competitive. With the higher quality of competition taking place daily during practice and players being challenged by equally talented practice opponents, the more improvements the team as well as individual players will be able to achieve. That's a much better situation for a coach to have than having his top 5 players consistently having to practice against "scrubs" who are unable to simulate the higher level of competition the team will face in games.
I'm anxious for the season to get started to see how this group of talented youngsters come together.
