the very first basket I ever made in a game. It was a hip shot from the left wing out at about 15 feet off the wooden backboard in our small grade school gym in Quincy Illinois. Even as I approach 91 (Nov 23), I can close my eyes and still see that shot. Strange how the memory works. I can't remember the first shot I made on the High School team though.
