Very unlikely. Is it even possible to be much more successful than Kal was at UK? He made his players BILLIONS of dollars. He put dozens of players in the NBA. He had numerous #1 overall draft choices and dozens of lottery selections. The NBA pipeline he built was amazing and many excelled once they got there.
I can’t think of a single former player that badmouths him. They all seem to sing his praises.
I’m always torn at what a coaches job is. I understand the Rick Barnes/Kal position. I also understand the position that he need win in college. Me, Im in it for the entertainment. I’d rather watch superstars play for my team than watch a boring team grind. The later only holds my attention if they win BIG a la Howlands 4 year success story.
