I usually turn off all my pages and then turn off the computer, wait a minute, and then turn it back on. When that doesn't work I kick the damn thing ;-). That usually doesn't work either. I then just avoid the website in question for a few days and that usually fixes it. If that doesn't work, unfortunately I don't have any real solutions to offer you. For awhile I couldn't play any video on Amazon Prime Video except on Chrome. That lasted about a week and then one day I tried it on Firefox and presto it worked. Since then my go to solution is just to wait out the problem.
